The formula

Under $15: fee = $2.95
$15 or more: fee = sold price × 20%
Earnings = sold price − fee − any shipping discount

Worked examples

Sold for $40fee 40 × 0.20 = $8.00, earnings $32.00
Sold for $12flat fee $2.95, earnings $9.05
Sold for $15fee 15 × 0.20 = $3.00, earnings $12.00

The flat fee is a bigger share of very cheap items: $2.95 on a $5 sale is 59%. Bundling small items into one listing, or pricing them at $15, often leaves you with more.

Pricing on Poshmark

Buyers on Poshmark expect to make offers, so many sellers list a little above the price they want. Work out the lowest offer you will accept first: the price where your earnings still cover what you paid plus the time it took. Compare with the Depop and Mercari calculators if you cross-list.

How much does Poshmark take?

A flat $2.95 on sales under $15, and 20% on sales of $15 or more. You keep the rest.

Who pays shipping on Poshmark?

The buyer pays Poshmark's shipping rate and Poshmark emails you a prepaid label, so standard shipping does not come out of your earnings. If you offer a shipping discount to close a sale, the discount does come out of your earnings.

Is the 20% charged on the price I listed or the price it sold for?

On the price it sold for. If you accept a $30 offer on a $40 listing, the fee is 20% of $30.

Is there anything else to pay?

Not on a normal sale. Sellers in Texas may see a state tax added on Poshmark's fee from October 2025, which shows up in the sales report. Check yours if you sell from Texas.
